Social Networking is all about Customer Service

I'm amazed at the amount of professionals who have profiles on various social networks yet they never check them.

Look, if I was to come into your place of business would you ignore me?  What if I had a need and you provided a product or service that could help me...would you look the other way?

Well, you should begin to look at these social networks that you are a part of as an extension of your place of business and not as a mere distraction.

Just as you would not tolerate an employee smiling or saying hi to a customer you should also not tolerate your client base being ignored online.  Say hi to them from time to time, comment on a picture, follow up on a question...just in general practice good customer service.
